The Full Moxie, the Central Valley's number one web site for women, is this year's BLOB Awards host. Expect irreverent (read: kinda drunk) humor, a couple of costume changes, and an appearance from Academy Award™ winner George Clooney.

About the Awards
As a product of EAT, PLAY, SHOP Fresno the Fresno Regional Independent Business Alliance (FRIBA) took this opportunity to have fun with this effort and host the very first BLOB awards- the first awards show that allowed the public to vote for only locally owned and independent businesses.
After only three weeks of voting here at www.blobawards.com over 1,500 ballots were cast by the public, demonstrating that Fresno residents really do recognize who is locally owned and independent and that there is a place to honor those businesses who have for so long, given our community a sense of place and character. The truth is that locally owned businesses bring something different and unique to our community and give our City its own character, something you cannot find anywhere else but here. So FRIBA believes that celebrating our local business community should provide something different- something fun, quirky and meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Let’s celebrate Fresno.
FRIBA, a non-profit organization, is made up of retail and restaurant owners who have joined together to host an ongoing public education campaign about the importance of supporting our locally owned business community and the positive effects local businesses have on our local economy.
